General Questions

What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer a range of therapies including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), schema therapy, and personalised therapy plans tailored to your specific needs.

What Is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)?

CBT is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns to improve emotional well-being

What conditions can CBT address?

CBT is effective for ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, phobias, PTSD, OCD, and stress-related problems. It’s also used for improving sleep.

What is Schema Therapy?

Schema Therapy is an integrative approach to treatment that combines elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoanalytic theories, attachment theory, and emotion-focused therapy. It focuses on identifying and changing deeply ingrained patterns or themes called “schemas” that develop during childhood and influence our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in adulthood.

Who can benefit from Schema Therapy?

Schema Therapy is particularly effective for individuals with chronic psychological issues such as personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. It is also beneficial for those who have not responded well to other forms of therapy.

How long is each therapy session?

Typically, each therapy session lasts 1 hour

How many therapy sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed is very dependent on the particular issue being addressed and how you engage in the sessionsDuring the initial virtual consultation, the psychologist will decide with you how many sessions they will do with you before they review progressFor most minor psychological issues, significant progress can often be made within six to twelve sessions.
