Experience

Dr Hunt has worked across a wide range of mental health services with children, adolescents, and adults. His clinical experience spans primary care, child and adolescent mental health services, adult mental health, intellectual disability, and early intervention in psychosis. Over the years, he has developed a particular interest in neurodevelopmental conditions, with a strong focus on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, Dr Hunt brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work. This dual perspective allows him to connect with clients in a meaningful and authentic way, offering not only evidence-based strategies but also deep personal insight into the challenges and strengths that often come with ADHD. His approach is neurodiversity affirming, compassionate, and focused on helping individuals understand themselves and build on their unique abilities. He has expertise in the assessment of ADHD and works collaboratively with clients and families to understand attention, concentration, and executive functioning difficulties and to develop practical supports and strategies tailored to each individual’s needs.
